Its rich mix of cultural diversity ensures something special for your travel intinery. Windhoek is considerably enhanced by stately historic buildings in the heart of the German architectural style of the turn of century. Imposing modern buildings in the central business district echo the historical forms, shapes and colours of this architectural heritage. Excellent restaurants serving African and European delicacies, craft & curio shops with exquisite gifts, guesthouses and hotels, the vast outdoors experienced by 4x4 rental cars. Once leaving Namibia, not only will you take with you a part of Africa in your memories, but be captivated by her spirit in your heart.

It’s indeed an honour to be part of this astonishing vast country with so many different cultures, colours and serene ways of life, even more so, writing about it. I am - and my guess is - countless other Namibians are exceptionally proud of who we are and where we are heading to with so many flourishing accomplishments.

We have observed many exciting events occurring here in our fabulous country. From Hollywood superstars treading on our soil to the first ever Moonlight Walks in Etosha National Park. One of the many wonderful highlights to celebrate is without a doubt Twyfelfontein in the Kunene Region. The World Heritage Committee in June this year inscribed Twyfelfontein as one of five "cultural landscapes in the world" and was officially declared a World Heritage Site.

It is for this reason that Via Namibia, like a good friend, will treat you right - leaving you uplifted and excited about life in marvellous Namibia and beyond. As always, let me say... “Read it!”, “Love it!”

Cheers
